Using the proprioceptive sensory qualities of ligaments, MLT reduces hypertonicity in muscles and fascia and can immediately activate those muscles that are inhibited with very little effort on the part of the practitioner. Best of all, it is extremely gentle on the client.

Learn about the physiology behind this unique technique and leave with a good understanding of the role ligaments play in muscle and fascial dysfunction. In this basic level class you will learn to palpate the targeted ligaments needed for the application of MLT. Specifically you will learn pre- and post tests along with specific protocols for the lower body. Including Glutes, hip flexors, protocols for knee injuries and dysfunction as well as working with the feet in a way you have never done before!  Course content is geared towards healthcare professionals and athletic trainers.

MLT can be a supplement for any existing therapy style or it can be the new foundation of how you help people.

The Gohl Method, created by Arik Gohl, LMT, MMLT, CPT, focuses on the direct influence of the center of the body, especially the abdomen, has on the state and function of the rest of the body. This includes both internal and external functions. Stress found in the spiritual, emotional, and physical planes are all interconnected. Stress of any kind can cause amongst other dysfunctions, negative gravitational compensatory changes (ie the body fighting gravity) via the autonomic nervous system. This strongly impacts the center of the body first, then creates ripples of symptoms impacting the body from head to toe.

This class will introduce the practitioner of all backgrounds, to a different and sensible view of how the body’s movement, stability, and especially pain, often stem from its core. The practitioner will learn methods which are easily applied to address dysfunction and pain, that is followed by self-care and self-correction that can translate to immediate improvement in your patient’s

Building on the Gohl Method, MLT uses the proprioceptive sensory qualities of ligaments, MLT reduces hypertonicity in muscles and fascia and can immediately activate those muscles that aren't doing their job with very little effort on the part of the practitioner. Best of all, it is extremely gentle on the client.
